Picked up a pretty good Mayhem ST roller for a guy at a local hobby store. Equipped with servos and all. Both work but the JR steering servo hums way to much. I will be replacing that one. I don't have room for the manual brake so the motor will have to do. Speaking of the motor, thanks to the Castle Clearance sale, picked up a 1520 and I think it will do well in pushing the new beast.

I know I offered my Emaxx roller for sale but since throwing in the CC1518, I've been having too much fun beating it up!

Is that LST ft/rr diffs?

The sportwerks mayhem st should use the same diffs as the lst, with muggy ratio gears. Stout for a truggy, but as close to muggy as you will get for drivetrain strength.

I order a Tekno RC motor mount for the Madness project and discovered the mount did not line up at all with the stock motor mount positions. I took a piece of carbon fiber and fabbed a motor mount plate and got it in. The Castle 1520 is a beast, plain and simple. All I need now is a MMM, battery tray and better steering servo.

Are you sure you want the layout with the huge motor and battery in the rear? You should try to balance it out somehow.

Due to the limited space, I don't have many configuration options. If necessary, I will have to add a little weight up front.

I got he battery tray installed. I ordered one of Mike's battery trays and heat implanted two bolts into the tray so to attach to the chassis. The technique worked well as the I can attach the tray without the screws poking into the side of the battery. The tray also gave me a little room to move the battery forward in the chassis to distribute a little weight though not much.

The motor is mounted, the battery tray is installed, the only thing left is to get the MMM and charge the batteries and we will be in business. Maiden brushless run will be Saturday.

First test run was a complete success. GEared at 15/51 I think, it is peppie on 4s. I am going to keep it there until I get it dialed in. Can't wait to open it up.
