Spektrum dx3.0 Need Advice.

I'm looking at getting a spektrum dx3.0 Radio for my BAJA B5 I was wondering if anyone in the forum can tell me much about this Radio in general and if it is any good,also if anyone can tell me about Spektrum as a company would welcomed as I don't know very much about them at all.Just to be clear I'm aware of all the other brands of Radio's out there and I'm not looking for advice on them just the Radio I'm posting about and Spektrum in general.

I have run a DX3.0 before and although it is a nice radio for the price the short range left me struggling to keep close, when I say keep close I mean no more then 200ft. DSM is simply fairly short range, I jumped to DSM2 (DX3R) and FASST and haven't had any issues since.
