Sidewinder Micro vs Mamba 25 - 10.14.2010, 01:36 PM

Am I correct that these two are identical and it's just a different label slapped on?

Mamba-25 also has a heatsink.

I dont have mine in front of me but, I dont think that the one I have does. Were there different versions of the Mamba-25? What gauge wires do they have, I need to rewire mine.

Oh, yeah, you are right -- the older Mamba-25 and the newer Sidewinder Micro are the same speed controls (basically)

The Mamba Pro (little one) is the newer version, which has a heatsink.

Thanx!

Patrick

Not trying to stir the pot so-to-speak, but the Sidewinder Micro webpage says:

"Improved Performance, The Sidewinder Micro offers everything the original Mamba-25 did, and more: Sidewinder Micro offers a huge step up in power handling from the original Mamba-25."

To me this implies that it's different in some ways, but it's hard to argue with the company president!

He said (basically) - which means it does the same thing and has same footprint but iirc the fets and brains chip were updated.

I've just ordered a couple of micro pros for my crawler. :)
