The Matrix TR Arena is now discontinued by CEN, so keep that in mind. Might want to contact CEN and see if they plan on keeping parts in stock for it.

I saw their new line of buggies and truggy and they look like a step down in quality. They don't have any Factory Race Editions anymore, only RTR.

What? Who does online transactions between two private parties and NOT use PP? Does he want a paper check or something? Sounds fishy IMO.

Some people just don't want to pay the fees, or have had a bad experience with Paypal and choose not to use their services anymore. If the person has good feedback on whatever venue/forum/website you are using I wouldn't be too worried. I focus more on feedback/reputation than the payment method. I've done a few transactions where the person wants to send or receive a postal MO instead of Paypal. They had good feedback so I had no problem with it.

What sort of motor/esc/batt are you planning on using in the 8T? They are good cars, did you get the 2.0? The 1.0 is just as good IMO...

I have the cars that I really wanted before I got them ;-)
