Cogging and flashing yellow LED - 03.07.2011, 01:25 PM

My Mamba Monster is acting up, started with cogging and occasional drop in power like power was turned off and on really quick. Now it just has a single yellow LED flashing fast.

I'm thinking it needs to be repaired, or what?

Have you Zeroed trims and calibrated TX to MMM?

Maybe remove the switch off of the MMM and twist the wires together, to eliminate any bad switch problems.

Yeas to this first, the second I haven't tried.

It may be a few days before I get around to it. After having two ESC's dump on me over two days, I need some cooling of time so I don't do anything rash.

Tried it without a servo connected with wheels of the ground, it still cogs but the yellow LED doesn't seem to come on anymore.

Hmm come to think of it, i did update the ESC to the latest beta. It didn't do the cogging thing before doing that.

Wasn't there an issue I read somewhere that if you are on the most recent beta release and reflash down to the older release that was a chance of the MMM smoking? Maybe it was on the Trx forums so I dunno, but something to watch for...

It lives again. Reverted back to v1.21 and everything works just fine. It runs really smooth now.

Meh, just your standard dodgy firmware version issue

v1.24 is the last 100% solid version- I run that on my V3 MMM, and v1.21 on my old V1 MMM- never any cogging or glitchy throttle issues with either.
