Best Feigao on 14 cells? - 03.25.2005, 03:28 PM

Would like some help on chosing a brushless system.

I run 14 cells, GP3300.

I like the Feigao motors and Warrior 9918 ESC. With the Feigao motors, which would run best with 14 cells? The 9L?

What is the difference between XL and L cans also? Would one be more powerful?

I mostly use it on flat land, grass fields, open areas. So I am looking for speed rather than toque, which is also efficent.

I have also heard of (I think its called) Castle Creations bringing out a system? Does anyone know more about this? Worth waiting for?

Thanks,
Nick.

i think the 9L would be best suited for 14 cells.

The problem with nitro's these days are that they arent brushless... LOL

The 9L is the preferred motor on this cell count. Technically, the xl motors can provide more power, but on 14 cells, the batteries will be the limit, not the motor. The xl motors are a good choice if you have a 15 pound beast, but are overkill for most e-maxxes. The "L" motors will provide a longer runtime in most cases as well. Castle Creations does have good stuff, but who knows how long it will be before they release their "maxx" system? They have talked about releasing a 1/10 scale mamba system for quite a while now. When they release these systems, I will no doubt stock them, as I believe castle has good stuff. Having said that, the BK/Feigao setups are nice, reliable systems as well. Not to mention, they are available. I can't comment on the performance of the castle system,as it is not available. However, the BK systems offer strong performance, as many can attest to.
