UE Diffs - 10.15.2006, 12:08 AM

I am shopping around for diffs and i thought i narrowed it down to the FLM diff gears with the great assembly diff cases. While i was on Ultimate Engineering.com i saw a 7.5 spider diff. Now i am not a pro at diffs but is seems the spider diff has like three times the number of parts and is like three times the price. What is the difference between the diffs. Is the spider diff considerably better in the performance area or are the diffs just stronger. What is the advantage of going with the spider diff over the regular aluminum diff case with steel diffs.

Well might I recommend the FLM Hybrids with HB Lightning diffs? Best bet for the money. But to answer your question, there are ALOT of differences. The UE (or other buggy diffs) are tunable with fluid, ALOT stronger, have a different gear ratio, and lots of other things. Definately go with something like what I suggested.

Hey squee....it tubable with fluid eh...don't you mean tunable..lol....nice spelling there....where is that edit button again.....just bustin your chops is all man.....but i also second squee suggestion....

UE 8 spyder well worth money
UE 6 spyder...just as good as 8's...but has a plastic cup instead of aluminum like 8 spyder
HB lightining diffs...don't know much...but have heard they are good....
then the flm cups....
all of these can be run in the hybrid bulks
