Im gonna be using the new maxamps 10000mah cells. I am thinking of using 5s1p . As for a balancer a LBA 10. Its gonna go in my bl lsp project running a 1950 7t. Thinking of a quark 125B. For the cutoff what should i set it at? I was thinking 3V. Do you guys think that these new cells should be good for my setup? Also im gonna use the new superbrain 989. My other concerns are what type of balancer plug do the maxamps packs use? I know that i have to get a 5s adaptor for the balancer, but where do i plug in all the wires? When i charge them do i put the deans off the battery into the charger, and than the balancer into the battery? How do i hook the balancer into the charger? thanks guys!
The problem with nitro's these days are that they arent brushless... LOL

The maxxamps ones use the hyperion plugs now. I had the same concerns.
Austin filled me in on it.
Peace!

These cells are rated at 150amps continuous, so at 150amps they should be putting out ~3.3-3.4v. Based on that, the LVC should be set at 3.2v minimum, and 3.3v for maximum cell cycles. If you find that the pack cuts out at 3.3v, you could set it down to 3.2v.
You plug the Deans on the battery into a Deans that will need to be put onto the LBA10, and plug the balancer into the charger (the balancer has 4mm plugs that are standard on most higher-end chargers).

I don't know what it is, just saying what it should be. You could always get an external LVC, especially one that monitors the voltage of each cell (through the taps), to get the most out of your money.

The Quark you can set cut-off to 2.2volt, also 2.4, 2.6....

I think i may actually go with a 4s2p 8000mah pack.... think this would handle my setup? And id use a MM. What would i want to set the LVC at?

As Metal suggested, around 3.3 cutoff. The Quark only goes to 3.0 at the highest. If you are using the MM, you can probably do as Metal suggested, not sure how the programming is on those though.

What do you guys think i should run, 4s2p 8000mah pack , or 5s1p 4000mah pack... I will be using a 1950 7T Hi-amp motor. Probably 125B or 9920..
@ Serum ; i know you havent post in this thread , but was wondering, since you've already done 2 of these types of conversions.. Should i try moving the center diff to the center of chassis or keep it off set like it already is, and than put the pack on the opposite side? I was thinking of putting motor on the side with a lay down motor mount. P.S : would you know if the new 10K mah maxamps cells would fit in the lsp? thanks.

With the Mamba Max, you can set the cutoff voltage to whatever you want.
5s1p 4000mah is only about 1300watts continuous, while 4s2p is 2100watts continuous. With 4s2p you'd get more runtime, but you would also get more weight, and it would cost more.

Cost is not too much more. Im just worried 4s2p wont be enough voltage to reach a good rpm in the lehner 1950. Regarding the MM... You dont think the 1950 hi amp wont be too amp hungry and give it problems? Im gonna be using a UBEC and a fan on it.
