Disabling BES on Mamba Maxx - 10.26.2006, 12:37 PM

is removing the red wire from the reciever connection the only way to disable the BEC on the mamba maxx? i run it in different cars some with just 2s and some with 4s so sometimes i want to use the onboard BEC and sometime i'll have an external battery...

You could keep the red wire in the connector and put a small switch inline of the red wire. Then you can switch it off, which would do the same thing as removing the wire.

Or, leave the red wire in the connector. Then make/buy a small servo extention with the red wire removed. When you need the BEC, use only the ESC wire. When you don't use the BEC, use the adaptor on the ESC wire.

I personally would use the adaptor....what if you forget to flip the switch? There goes your esc!
