ok so this is the speed controll i have decided on, for 14 cells can i just disable the bec and run a reciever pack or do i have to use a ubec??? if i do can someone give me a link to a cheap one that works and how to wire it to where???? and im going back to a fiegao 8xl because i have got into racing on road so money went to that but this has got to get done because if i dont it will be this way for another year lol but i want it done unlike that mini zilla lol

Yeah you can run it on the reciever pack, I did mine that way today to find out if the BEC (12 cells)was giving me trouble. I'm going UBEC but reciever packs work as well, just remember to pull the middle wire first

but can i do it on 14 cells???? i dont want it to blow because im 13 so money isnt around i have to realy work for this kind of stuff lol

There is a guy on here that runs a mamba max/8XL with 14 cells and no trouble. It steps outside of the warranty, but works for him. I may try more cells later but satisfied for now

yes thats finnester (spelling?) and he runs a ubec not a reciver pack so is there a difference or is it the fact of the added wieght of the pack vrs a light ubec?

thats no prob for me im at home most of the time anyways, in my nieghbor hood its not nearly dont so unfineshed lots means fun and broken parts lol
