Were(maby tell me or show link thanks) and how much are the 40mm fans that work with the cnc machined esc cooling heat sink. [URL="http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail.php?prod=RCM008"] also this fan that you direct me to or recommend to get, does it have low enough voltage to not make a noticable difference in run times. Also if it is three pronged i just use a y joint right! but if it is not 3 prong (like servo useualy uses) how do i make it 3 prong or is there a better way to wire it. Also a pic who has this setup. It would be nice to se

You might wanna send mike a email - he had a bunch of 40mm fans - and as far as the wires - just use the red and black ( red to +, black to - )

this fan is 40 mm but it is 12 volts dc is that to much volts(meaning will that drain serious amounts of energy from my 4s lipo pack decreasing run time) http://www.hardwarecooling.com/produ...wer_connector? also it this the kind of fan i should be looking for to use with this heatsink http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail.php?prod=RCM008. thanks for your replies.

any 40x40x10mm fan will work, but using 12v on 4s the fan might fail early, but if you get a 40x40x10mm 5v fan, wired to a servo plug and plugged into a spare channel on your rec. will run the fan at 6v in stead of 5v...and it will draw more air to the heatsink... here is a link to fan

the fan is a 40x40x7mm and it has 3 wires....just cut off the yellow wire..& use the red & black to power fan

and by the way...this is the fan i run, and I run 2 of them and they work great....they only draw .15 amps total on 5v ...well 6v for our application

I can get a pic of the fans mounted, but for me to get a pic of all the wiring, I will have to undo all of the wiring I just did......just take a servo lead... & take off the white wire completely...then wire the 2 + wires from fan together, along with the 2 - as well....then just wire them to the + &- from the servo lead you just removed the white wire from...solder it up, cover with heat shrink & plug into spare channel on RX...and your good to go...

it is very understandable that you do not want to take a pic of the wiring because you would have to unwire it. Thats cool but if you dont mind taking a pic of the fans mounted to the heatsink. that would be good just to see what it looks like because i have not seen this yet. thanks

I actually don't use that heatsink, it is a mount that i made for my 2095 controller.....but here you go anyways
