Two Q's: Hyperion website and emoli charging - 08.07.2006, 02:44 PM

Like the title says, I have two questions:
  1. What is the website for Hyperion?? I looked all over and everything points to hobby stores. Even the manuals I can find are hosted directly at the store instead of linking to Hyperion.

  2. I have the Hypeion EOS 7i and have tried to top off the 2s2p emoli pack I have, but when the packs gets to about 8.35v, the charger stops and displays the message "voltage output too high". I assume this means the battery voltage output is higher than the 8.4v value, but when I hook a meter to it while charging, it only gets to 8.35v-8.37v.

As a test, I charged my 1s Li-Ion cellphone battery at a low 100mA rate, which worked exactly as expected. Then, I even charged my old 1s 1100mAh Li-Ion camera battery at 1A. That worked fine too. The current was constant while the voltage steadily increased until it hit 4.2v. Then the voltage remained a constant 4.20v and the current started dropping until the current went to 0A.

Seeing this, I thought it may be because I'm trying to charge the e-molis in a 2s2p form at once, so I tried charging each parallel pair individually and it does the same thing. BTW: even though the emolis should be charged at 6Ah since they are 2p, I only set the charger for a 2A charge.

I charge my emoli 2s2p packs on a TP1010c at 6 amps and they charge to 8.4v every time.

Digging up this old thread again because I still can't find the Hyperion website. Everything simply points to online resellers with aircraft world at the top of the list. Does this company have a website???
