Very good radio.. i use the new dx3.0 which is identical.. glitch free running with no crystals.. highly reccomended:D

I cant say anything bad about it. I use the original DX3 and now run a Spektrum Module in my Airtronics radio. The Spektrum stuff is good. I have actually converted everything I own to Spektrum. No more AM or FM for me. I love the fact that I can turn my radio on anywhere without fear of screwing up someone else, and I can run without fear of interfearance from someone else's radio.

It only has a 2-model memory. For me, that wouldn't work (I'm going on 9 RC cars/trucks soon). That's something to take a look at, though.

That's probably the primary reason I'm looking at the Nomadio. My Spektrum DX3 only holds 3 models. :( I'll probably keep the Spektrum receivers though (they are small) since they can work with the Nomadio system.

Arent the new dx3.0's supposed to have 4 model memories? I wouldnt need more than that since i probably wont have more than 4 trucks.

Spektrum Rx works with Nomadio Tx!?!?!?!

Really? Is that for sure or just a speculation cuz they are both 2.4mhz radios?

I like it much better. Once you bind the rx to the tx there is no possibility of crossing signals with anyone. That is the biggest selling point for me. Plus I never have any glitching. To me this is the way it is supposed to be.

Also the built in failsafe works really well just in case you have a battery go dead or something.

I think they get a lot more range (not sure but i think i read in the RC action that they can go like five football Fields long not sure though) but defiantly farther distance no crystals, no changing channels, small, and my favorite short antenna which usually means you only need a small antenna usually not even tall enough to come out of the body on a monster truck. My friend has a micro spektrum receiver and the antenna wire is 2 1/2 inches long. I am also converting to spektrum. The sown side is model memory but if your like me and only have like 5 cars and the other two are on different radios it all good.

If model memory is the hinge pin for you, just buy a higher end radio with more model memory and then get a Spektrum module for it. Not as cheap, but it get you you high end radio features and the spektrum benefits. Thats what I am doing. I have a M11 w/ Spektrum Module.

That's what the Nomadio radios are for :027:.

Yes, it does. Just go to the Nomadio.net support forums and do a search on Spektrum and you'll get a few hits. From what I've read, you have to be using the beta version of their PC app, unless that is changed. Also, there is potentially more latency and less power.

The frame rate for Nomadio 75MHz, for Spektrum it's 50MHz. Convert that to time, that's a difference of about 700us.

The power difference is 10mW for the Spektrum and 100mW for the Nomadio, depending on the RF laws for your country. Good for range, bad for battery runtime (but it won't be that much different since we are talking mW here).

These figures are from briefly browsing the forum posts, so there may be a little more to it than that. So basically when a Spektrum module is used with a Nomadio receiver, you lose some advantages, but the performance is the same as if you were using a full Spektrum system. So, if you are happy with the Spektrum system performance, you won't lose anything.
