Proline foams (MTR) - 01.05.2007, 01:27 PM

Does anybody know if those new molded foams that come with the MTR tires are any good? Will they last more than one race day (like their standard foams)?

Thank you
DAF

I have the MTR's, i have not seen the molded foams for those. Ofna makes them for the MT's but they are too wide for the MTR's. I trimmed mine.

I would love to know the material though, if they are standard stock material, then maybe not so good of a foam no matter if they are molded or not. The ofna material is different, more durable.

Yeah, they came with the rubbers, as seen in the first pic.

Nice thinking on the double bead indeed, I have always cut my truggy-style tires like that. (bandsaw works very well there, btw)

Bandsaw.. Thanks for the tip.

I saw a write-up somewhere, that person used a dremel, and set it fixed onto a certain height. My concern was that the dremels is more melting the plastic than cutting it.
