would you be able to wire up AAs and make them work as a battery? like if you went out and bought some of those energizer rechargable batteries...?
was just thinking of it now and i would think it would be a pretty cheap battery for the time being (they wouldnt last too long i wouldnt think)

They would work, but would suck compared to a normal sub c size battery.

AA's are very poor at delivering current. They'd work fine for a RX pack, obviously.

you will need around 15 of them in parrallel to make 1 cell. A brushless mini-t draws enough current to pop them.

A while back, I too was curious if AA's could be used in place of single GP3300 cells since they would fit better and have greater capacity when paralleled. So, I took some Duracell 2300mAh AA's, wired a set in parallel for 4600mAh and compared the discharge curve to that of a GP3300 cell. Even with the added capacity, the AA's dropped voltage quite badly after 10A IIRC.

Like others have said, these have good capacity, but only for low-current loads, like a receiver or transmitter pack.

I just saw some fast-charge AA's out recently. Since they charge faster, maybe they have a better discharge curve?

Are they recent? Because the store I was at had the regular 2300mAh cells and the "fast-charge" 2300mAh cells of the same maker. Either they are newer cells or just re-labeled...

Ive seen them in mid 2006 so i doubt they are new.
