Lipo selection help - 01.19.2007, 04:08 PM

I recently ordered a pair of 4600Kv mamba maxx systems after mike gave me some very helpful advice, but I now have the problems of selecting batteries and have some questions (hopefully I have put this in the correct place!)

First off what discharge rate can high capacity (4500mah) Nimh cells support (in your experence?) 45ish???? or more????

The two systems will be going into my tamiya wild dagger similar to what dagger thrasher is doing. I am really looking at the Poly Rc 20C range, specifically the PX3S-4350 which has 4350mah, is a 3s pack and supports 85A continous and 130Amps peak. Is that enough current as the castle creations controller can support 100A continous. I would have two battery packs, one per system - and they would be, as it were, independant of each other. 85A seems a lot, but some people are not sure and I really do not have the experience to say. Surely I always thought 45Amps max for nimh compared with approx double for lipos. Also what sort of current can deans cope with?

Thanks in advance
Henry
