About 2/3 of the way down this page there are some really nice ceramic bearings for the Feigao 5mm shaft motors. I repalced the bearings in my 540C 9XL with these and they are great.
thanks, I just ordered a set and will try them out. Looks like the front of the motor were the shaft is moved (its only pressed on). I pulled it all the way off and will try to epoxy it when the new bearings come.
I had the same problem with my 540c. The fornt end bell broke loose on a big jump The feigaos are built kinda cheap. The 540C models are better than the standard feigaos, but they are still not that solid.
I did the same thing you are planning using JB weld. It seems to be holding pretty good. Just be carefull not to get to much on there and have it ooz inside the motor. It doesnt take much to hold the press fit is pretty tight. Just sand the black off of the parts where you want to bond it so it holds directly to the metal can and end bell.
I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...
The front endbell on my 540C 7XL was coming loose. I JB-Welded it back on, and since then have done a bunch of crazy stuff. The JB-Weld bond has yet to break loose.

Havent had any issues w/ my JB weld fix either. I just used it cuz thats what I had and it semed like it should work. But green locktight sounds like it would be good also.

NNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOO
Do not use green Loctite. All it will lock is the bearing, the bearing will then break apart assuming the ESC doesnt Fry, and then the rotor hits the windings. We tried it in a pinch on 3 motors, and had a 100% failure rate within 2 runs.
I'm going to use the RC monster heatsink. The only reason I got it was to prevent the motor from coming apart.
As for the bearing, the Bocas are hard to beat. I used to run those in my Novarossi P5X engines. They are just about impervious to heat and are really smooth.

Sorry if I misunderstood the question ...you use the green loc-tite to secure the endbells...it should never be anywhere near the bearings as it has great wicking properties
