50mph? -
02.26.2007, 08:58 PM
Will a 1950/6 Hi-Amp on 4S get my G2R to 50mph? Its under 10 pounds (probably more like 9 pounds).

Ok...thats what I thought. I figured if 750 watts (HV4.5) got me to 40mph on 1/2 charged packs, the 1950, with its multi-thousand watts, should send me to 50+ with only one phase working LOL

You and your infatuation with 50mph :005:. Speed isn't everything you know. You wouldn't be able to hit full throttle at Hot Box for more than 1/2 sec. with your truck geared for that speed.

Doing speed runs on the street is addicting lol.
I just wanted to make sure that I was getting my money's worth. If my $275 HV system got me to 40.6mph on 1/2 charged packs, then the 1950 sure as hell better get me 50mph since I'm dishing out the HV system and then some just for the motor.
Plus, having extra power on tap is always a good thing :)

Yes, with the right lipo's (such as enerland 5000 packs) on 4S 50mph should be doable

They should give enough power for 50mph. Although, enerland cells (flightpower packs) would make it alot faster!
The problem with nitro's these days are that they arent brushless... LOL

Really? How so?
I figured 160amps continuous was PLENTY.

Take a look at the discharge graphs Promod shared in his 50mph on 4 s thread. they don't do 160A above 3V per cell.
