Rustlin' Air - Rusty goes jumping (video) - 05.20.2007, 07:06 PM

I had to abuse her a bit after installing the FLM stuff. Good fun!!!

Please resize to original for best, albeit still poor quality. I need a better camera.....

The tree part was pretty funny. You were getting some decent air off such a small jump. Any broken parts?

Thanks guys! I loved the tree bit. No broken parts. I popped the ball out of the u-joint on the left rear tire, but it just popped out, went right back in. I'll want an axle upgrade soon though. This is just the beginning!

What axles are you planning on going with? MIP's?

You've inspired me Dicky. I think I'm going to do a Rustler for the MM 7700 I picked up last week.

I think I want to start with the chassis and build it from scratch. I thought about buying one in the box as a base, but that's really not practical. There isn't going to be a lot that's stock except for the chassis and I'm going to cut it up. I'm going to leave more than your chassis, but I'm just going to leave the skeleton. I'm hoping it comes out sort of looking like a cross between Jang and FLM chassis. After seeing your original post on your FLM stuff and doing a little research over the last few days, I think it's the way to go for my 7700 system. I think I'm going to try it on some IB4200 matched 4 cells with a 70/22 gearing to begin with. Should get me about 48mph according to Brian's calculator. I could always drop in one of my IB 7 cell packs, might run a little hot, but 84 MPH with that gearing. You know I'm gonna try it. :027:
