hey guys i want to build the best electric beast i can, and i was wondering what's better....revo or e maxx?

how much lighter is a stock GM revo than an e maxx with alluminum UE racer x, 8 shocks, and towers, FLM bulks and chassis?

i wanna bash too, so is it worth the weight to go all alluminum for durability or is the stock GM revo durable enough to beat up? thanks for your guys' help

Hmmm.... An E-revo is more of a race truck than a basher/racer, so I would say probably an FLM chassied E-maxx is your best best. Its a great chassie for racing since its extended, and the extra ground clearance makes it ideal for bashing too. If budget really isnt an issue then FLM hybrid bulks with 1/8 buggy diffs, FLM towers and UE suspension would make for a good truck. Motor wise 8/9XL & suitable esc would be good for bashing- not too much insane speed but plenty of torque. A coreless servo & proline saver would sort the steering, which just leaves the driveline- 3.3maxx/revo components are pretty solid and Rc-monster dogbones would finish it off.

Ditto.

An Emaxx can be a real brute if done right. The only thing I would do differently is the Revo shafts...I'm more of a CVD fan my self.

I would get CVDs for my truck, but they just look so thin and spindley, even the beefy ones.... makes me worry I might break them doing something silly, even though they are massively stronger than the Revo shafts. Each to their own I guess :)

Yes sir, I've actually busted some Revo shafts bashing. I also like the slender look of the CVDs. I will say this though, it's a pleasure working on Revo shafts compared to T/Emaxx 1.5-2.5 shafts! Heck, they may make working on a truck easier than CVDs for that fact? Who knows.

I would suggest convert a Savage if u just want to bash around. Very tough truck and u dont really need all the upgrades like a emaxx does. Maybe some upgrades needed on the drivetrain department. I think serum can explain more to you on that. But it require some custom fabrication though. Not really hard, just look around the forum and you might find some ideas.

So far my Revo has been great for bashing. Compared to an E-Maxx it's cheap for its durability, and the performance is great.

I'd have to say Revo as well. I have a GorillaMaxx chassis, which isn't the best for bashing, but is a very good track chassis. However, it is durable and holds up well.
