Question track width questions - 04.04.2007, 05:49 AM

i'm confused about track width of truggies.
lets take an 8-T for example,
it's 415.7mm wide, half offset rims, non extended hubs.
people say when you ad 12.7mm extended hubs and non off-set wheels it stay's 415.7mm wide.
is that correct???
thanks.

how many truggies are you running on your track if its always crowded then 7+ feet will be good.

The only exact way to find out is to put the wheels and adapters on the actual car and then measure, but theoretically, if you take the offset out of the rim, it makes it 1/2 inch narrower per side (1 inch overall), then add the adaptor length (almost 1/2 inch per side) and you get the same width. There are many variables when determining track width changes from stock, and I have found that the only reliable way to see if something fits is to put the rims and tires on the truck

a well respected member over at lstforums has added mugen mbx5t adaptors to his losi 8-t and non offset grp's and it is slightly wider then normal hexes and half offset rims like the stockers and pro-line 1/2 rims.

just so you know.:)

oh yes, the mugen truggy hubs add 14mm to each side.:p
