would i be able to safely run 2 lehner xl5000s on 14-16 cells in a e-maxx? i would be running 2 warrior 9920s.

As in 7-8 cells per XL5000?

That is possible, with the right gearing.

A single 7XL on 16 cells would have the same power though.

Or alternatively you could get and Rolls Royce jet turbine engine and strap that to you e-maxx....:eek: :eek: :eek:

hehe....most definately not!! :D Just saying the XL5000 are HOT motors, and 2 of them is some serious power. I've got a nice calm XL2000 in mine - still a beast though, :L:

I would stay away from the xl500 for maxx duty. It is simply too hot a motor for optimum performance in a truck this large. 10L or 7xl on 16 cells would provide all the go power you need for a fraction of the cost (or even an xl2400 or xl2000).

well i actually have a xl3100 i got from here and i actually havent run it yet because im waiting for my esc to come it. i do wish i would have gotten a xl3600 or xl4200. if they can be safely run on 14 cells.

Once you run the xl3100, you will be happy with it. The 3600 is a handful as well, but the xl3100 is impressive on 12-14 cells to say the least.
