Hyperion EOS 5I ac/dc charger? - 04.11.2007, 11:42 PM

Anybody using this charger? I'm having trouble finding much info on it.
Chris @ CBP recommended it .
I've got a new Emaxx and want a charger that will charge [2] 6 or 7 cell Ni-mh packs at the same time. He said that charger would work with an adpter cable...????
*I got an MRC 977 from them, but had to return it because it was defective (wouldn't come on at all...)

thnx!

It will charge up to 14 cells.

You'll need a splitter so both battery's can connect to the charger. ( a y adapter)

i would not recommend it, because you can only charge with 2,75 amps @ 12 cells because of the 50W limit. it will charge the battery but it will take longer than an hour.

Dredging up an old thread - 09.05.2007, 11:41 PM

So I'm looking at the Hyperions for the same reason as above to replace my "old" dual battery charger. I want to protect for future lipo charging, but I'm not ready to drop the bucks on lipos right now.

So for an extra 60 bucks, the 1210 will charge two NiCd's quite fast, correct?
Has anyone set up one of these for that? Is all that is needed is the balancer chord, and make up my own Y adapter? Or is there another better set up out there?

Losi 8T 1.0, Savage Flux - XL style, LST XXL, Muggy, 3.3 E-Revo Conversion and sitting outside 425hp, 831 Tq Dodge Ram Turbo Diesel. It SMOKES
