E-maxx bushless set-up ? Newbe - 09.12.2007, 05:10 PM

Hello,
I have just purchased my 1st e-maxx. I want to set it up with a brushless setup.(motor & speedcontrol) I need to know what would be the best set-up for me.
I have 2 new 7.4v 8000 mah max amp batts

This is what I'm looking for-
Something that is smooth with some what violent acceleration and reliable

I have a stampede with a mamaba max 5700 system on it with a 9.6v batt, and it is fun. This the kind of fun I want with the E-maxx

What do I do? I'm new to the RC world?

No need to post in two sections.

But to answer your question again, how much are you willing to spend? There are countless set ups available for the Maxx.

lol, "violent acceleration" usually does not go into the same sentence as "reliable" since that kind of power results in blown diffs and other nastiness when crashing from high speeds.

I was thinking the same thing. Do you want to upgrade drive line components as well.

I have been building on mine for over 3 years now and have over 3 grand invested and enough spare parts to almost build 2 more trucks, plus I am still making improvments, it never ends. Anyway the e maxx is a great truck good luck!

I already upgraded the drivelines with CVD’s.

I thought "violent acceleration" would spark notice. I know it does not associate with reliable.
I talked with Mike and I’m going to go with the wanderer 8xl and the mamba max esc.

I'm new, and staring to learn with my bushless stampede.. use-it, break it, use it,.. break it, break it, use it..

After a while you will get to a point where it becomes very difficult to break anything, bullet proof is bitchin! Anyway if you need more advice or anything else pm me.

If you aren't worried about too much speed, a friend of mine is running a stock emaxx with a mamba max 4600 system on twin 3S 5Ah packs run in parallel. Like I said, it's all stock so it's pretty light. Although I told him that I didn't think it would work, he hasn't had any issues with it. It runs cool, has good power and runs for a LONG time. Most times, he doesn't even bring the charger out when he runs it. By the time the batts dump, he's ready to leave anyway.

I agree, on the 4600. I got one in a T4 and on 3s lipo its power is almost unbelieveable. I have thought the setup would run great in an Emaxx stock, I think a set of 1/8 diffs would help with the reduction they have though

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise
