GM single speed tranny placement on a Revo 3.3? - 10.06.2007, 02:29 PM

I just blew out my input gear on my Revo, so I have no way of running it unless I put my GM tranny into it for the time being.

So anyone who has placed the GM tranny into the Revo, where in the tranny mount should it go? The output shaft is shorter than the Revo's tranny so the shafts will have to reach longer... any help would be appreciated!

crap, I went ahead and mounted the maxx tranny (single speed), and discovered that I neglected the fact that the tranny was not aligned with the diffs... the slider shafts hit the alum chassis before it can be secured to the tranny outputs.

I don't really know what to do now, besides bending or grinding away some of the chassis... It won't weaken the chassis at all (the indents where the slider joints occupy), but there is not even 1cm of shaft inside of the other for holding each other together (shaft sliders).
