Brushless help needed - 01.28.2005, 01:02 AM

I am planning on buying the lehner 3600xl and the warrior 9918. How reliable is the controller and is it easy to program? Also do I need to purchase the UBEC? I want to make sure I get everything right before I do anything.

The ubec is not necessary - but i would definately recommend it - it eliminates the need for a receiver battery therefore reducing weight and also theres one thing less to worry about charging - ( have been in a race and forgot to charge the receiver battery - not fun.... I'll leave the xl and warrior ? for MIKE...

Hows that "Hope and Change" working out for Ya???

I doubt you will have any trouble with the xl3600 and warrior controller. They have been very reliable and are pretty easy to program. If you use only one servo(steering obviously), the bec should work fine without a receiver pack or UBEC, but I usually recommend one for better steering (5.5volt vs 6 volts).

Thanks guys. I guess I will get the UBEC when I am ready for everything. I want to every once of steering I can with the 260oz/.12sec. Right now I also have my caster at the lowers possible.

I am the same way. I like a lot of steering!

Yeah I just hate how my old emaxx used every single inch and some to do a 180 on a 12 ft wide track while turning one way and less when turning the other.
