Brushless ST-RR Onboard Camera - 01.19.2009, 09:11 PM

Here is some footage I took with a camcorder mounted on my brushless Kyosho ST-RR. I was early and there were only a couple of Jammin CRT.5's out on the track. So I just followed them around for a while, it worked out well, I didn't want to go full throttle because I was worried the camera would fly off, so 1/2 to 3/4 throttle and rolling over the jumps was all I needed to keep up with the CRT.5's. Kind of jumpy video, so if you get motion sickness be warned.

I have to say that is the best on-baord vid I've seen yet. You must have a very nice camera. I'd like to see more.

Hey guys, thanks. I got the idea from an onroad onboard video somebody recorded. Actually, my wife had an old point and shoot camera that also had a video option. She never uses it anymore so I borrowed it for my project, I added scrap foam forms to the front shock tower, then I strapped the camera down with some velcro straps. On the first test run the camera fell off after the first jump, duh. I then added extra straps using the cameras built in strap loop. It stayed on after that. My truggy was much faster than the CRT's but I wanted to trail them so there would be other trucks in the video. I think the camera is a Sony DM-1 or something like that, my wife picked it out a few years ago.
