Any hints on getting a successful BK warranty claim? -
01.11.2008, 11:11 AM
I ended up smoking my 9920 ESC last night, I am bummed. I know the warranty process has been a nightmare with others, anyone got any pointers? I already shot them an email today.
Thanks,
Sleeb

Give them a call, ask for Barbara, she can speak a decent word of English.

She can yes, not like she is much help though. IMHO. Irene that used to work there was great, she got stuff done! Not sure if she is there any longer as she was in an accident awhile back.
Other than, persistance! That is the key.

I think your best bet is to call early in the morning.

Well, I am happy to report that my email I sent last Friday was answered this morning. They asked for some more information, so hopefully the next email will contain shipping information back to them.
Fingers crossed!

Usually this is the email that will take a tad bit longer. I hope all goes well for you. Keep being persistant. :)

Well, they are responding to emails much quicker now. I got a response that told me my setup draws too much amps, which means they pretty much denied me my claim. I'm trying again, but I don't have a whole lot of hope.
So, yay for fast responses, boo for poor warranty support. They won't get my business again, and I'll make sure to steer others away also. Apparently they've learned nothing from major e-tailers dropping their product line.
Looks like I've got a date with a heatgun and a razorblade. I know not all of the FETs are blown, because it still was rolling. Mebbe I should look up GriffinRU and see if he wants a project. :) Heck I think I would have been better off by modding a MM ESC.
*grumble*

this is why she asks you for the specs, they always say the same damn thing... "too much" BS! I would actually have told you ran 3s on it.....just to see what she says.
