Front/Rear weight balance - 01.12.2008, 03:56 AM

What do guys think is the best weight balance for truck/truggy? I made the front to rear balance on my 1/8th buggy the same as in nitro form (slightly heavier in the rear). But on this rig, I have never had it in nitro form, so I don't know what that should be. Should I go for 50/50 F/R or a little heavy in one end or the other?

I'd go for something like 40/60 or 50/50. I guess it depends on how it handles and how it flies in the air.

So I guess no one cares if their rig is balanced huh?

Honestly, I would try to get used to driving it without any change to the balance except maybe the L/R. If I still found it hard to control during braking and/or jumping after lots of practice then I would mess with the F/R balance.

Left to right I can't do much about, unless I go with different battery. I am just trying to determine the best place to locate the battery tray (front/rear).

I try to put as much weight in the front as I can, while not compromising a clean layout
