New Emaxx Brushless reliability - 01.06.2008, 06:42 PM

So I've heard of a couple twin VXL systems and I believe I heard someone using a Plettenberg Maxximum on the new maxx. Has anyone else done brushless on the new Emaxx? What have you used and is it holding up? Have you toasted anything yet? I'm looking to either get the twin Velinion or invest more for the MGM, Neu setup. It also seems like you can use the MM with some mods for the maxx and maybe a NEU motor. Anyway, hows the drivetrain holding up to brushless?

How much is the VXL system for a single motor/sec combo?

Personally, i would rather go for a single motor system of higher quality (usually).

Does anyone have any input on the motor size of the VXL motors?

I've seen the VXL systems close to 150. I'm not sure of the size motor? I like the fact that I can use my two 3s 5000 MAH lipo's on the twin VXL's. I was thinking of the MGM Neu combo but Ive been reading some bad things about running 6s lipo on the MGM.

AustinMax if you end up getting that combo on the 3905 let us know how it handles the motor. Which Neu are you going to try?

I would think you would want to save the weight and go with 1 motor and 1 ESC. The idea of 2 is neat. I think it would be more idea fpr bashing, it you wanted more torque.

There was a discussion on the size, somewhere in these forums. I think the agreed size was somewhere between an S and an L, with a bigger than standard(Novak/castle 380 rotor) 540 sized rotor

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise
