help a brother out, 600xl or hacker c50? - 03.07.2008, 08:35 PM

i lost the auction i was bidding on for the hacker c50 15L, so i started looking around for another motor for my truggy, and i'm thinking about giving the align 600xl a fair shot. price looks really good for that beastly of a looking motor.

tonight when i got home i recieved a second chance offer on the hacker and its a phenominal price. which is the better motor? i know the align is larger, and a outrunner hybrid.

the 600XL has holes in it, so it is easy for dirt to get in there.
when you cover it up, it think it would heat up...

i went ahead and bought the hacker. i figured i might as well go ahead and get it since its going to be hard to do it again at this price, and the 600xl's are pretty cheap everywhere if i decide to change my mind. still post comments about these motors if you know anything. i think the hacker is rated to 1200watts, and the 600xl is rated 1500watts.

Having owned both, you will most likely prefer the hacker. They are very nice motors, and most likely built better than the align. Plus they have a inrunner feel, while the align spools up slower, but seems to have more torque. I wil test my align l can in the next 5s buggy I build and see how it performs with more load. My last test was in a 2wd emaxx, so not as much load on the motor.

I almost bid on the hacker, but I already have one, so I did not bother. How much did you pay? I am guess less than 65 bucks, which was a steal. Let me know if you want to sell it! You could make some money from me!

I havent had any experience with the Align motors, but I can tell you I really like my hackers. Hacker makes a very high quality motor for sure. Good choice, you will like it.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

I would have sniped you if I did decide to bid on it! I already have a 15l so I really did not need it.

The C50-15L is a good motor. You'll like it a lot.

Hi-jack on here. I just bought a brushless revo and it has a Hacker c50 11L in it. I was going to get up a 1515 Neu but if this motor will do the job then I am fine with that. Hi-jack off.
