RCmart.com has a pretty unknown company called yeah racing. Before I had my dark impact, i had never heard of them. they have a 3200mAh battery that seems almost identical to the Orion/peak 3200 lipos, only it has built in wires. This is by far the cheapest battery I have seen. Only $35!!! Its rated for 20C and is almost identical specs to most 6 cell nimh packs. With two of these I could make a 4s 3200 pack or a 2s2p 6400 pack easy and for half of what it would cost to get a pack from a well known company. So I gotta ask. Anyone run one and anyone have any thoughts on it?
Yeh $35 and 8 reviews, all of which say its a good battery. Of course they probably aren't in VXL stampedes and brushless revos(id get two and make a 4s). Both of which draw a good amount of power...
I have two of these packs and I am running it with MM 4600kv in 10th scale touring car.
I have not opened the case yet. There is nice 12 AWG wire attached and balancing tap compatibile with my Hyperion after removing small piece of plastic. Case fits perfectly chassis of HB Cyclone S. Cells are closely balanced.
My packs are after approx 10 cycles. I have expected them to to die after first one or two cycles, but they work realy good :) I have got plenty of power and 15-17 min runtime :) Honestly I am so impressed with these 35$ batteries that I have ordered next pack few days ago.
My setup is not consuming many amps, so someone have to test these cells in something bigger or faster.
Yes I might end up ordering one anyways to run in my TC. Its running a LRP sphere comp with a reedy neo-one 4star (4turn). I would really like to order two and try it out as a 4s pack but I'm a little worried that it wont be able to push that kind of power. Glad to hear a lot of people are using them and they are working well. its also good to hear that itl work with hyperion stuff since thats what i have
and johnrobholmes, did you have to put that in here??? hahaha
ok, they are almost identical (oriion screwed up and forgot to copyright the case design quick enough) so they copied :)
when comparing them physically, the yeah ones and MUCH heavier than the orion ones. great reports here, no one has been dissapointed and id guess 80-90% of people re order... havent seem them used but VERY popular here in TC, esp modified. they run the novak 3.5's fine without any issues. packs stay in balance well aparently too...
hope this helps. perhaps not suitable for massive conversions due to low capacity.
might i add, i saw somewhere where if you wernt happy with it or it stuffed up you got a free replacement... these are close to or correcly rated @ 20C.

NO, IMO you should stay away from Yeah Racing at all costs, I bought some CVD's and they are made of cheese! I havn't heard of any Yeah racing parts that fit properly.
My Rides:
Tamiya Dark Impact - Team Losi Micro B - Cen Mini Madness - Soon to be BL Xray XB8 TQ
parts and batteries are different. I personally dont like yeah racing upgrade PARTS, but for all we know these could be the same exact cells as orion with a little heavier case... And the weight doesn't really bother me that much. But yes I am worried if they can hold a strong load. They are rated for what? Not even 70A continuous... That would be a problem in a revo that is pulling nearly 100 right now... It is way overgeared though so that will drop eventually(once i get batteries for it...).
Hows your DI been rcmonkey? this is streetracer745 from RCU
the way I'm looking at it, I can get these for a less than it would take to get some good 4000-4500nimh packs, and they will last just as long runtime and have the same punch. I mean a DTX 4200 pack costs $39-$45 depending on where you buy it. Now they are amazing packs, My brother runs them and I've run them once in my TC, but a lipo of 3200 will give basically the same power, and it'll cost less for me to get them... But at the same time I just recently found the Protek 4000 packs at amainhobbies. They are twice the price... but I know they are worth the money... And they can deliver a lot more amperage.... Which is necesary for big builds... I'd like to order two packs at once so I can race my Revo. And sicne its shipping from out of the states itll take a while for them to get here, so I don't want to wait a few weeks to get one then like it and have to wait logner to get my other one...
