Locking 23mm Nuts?

Does anyone make nyloc 23mm nuts, I cant seem to keep the right front on, luckily its bright blue and easy to find.. I have tried Threadlock, and just cranking it as tight as i can

you are just not tough enough........

I never have a problem with mine and i would suggest thread lock but you said you tired that.

a 23mm socket (yes hard to find) and a breaker bar are..

Ever seen a trailer axle where they have that little pin that goes through a hole in the side of the nut right through the bolt and out the other side? You could try something like that if all else fails. A lock nut that would fit would be too large for RC use. It would look like a regular nut, not a low-profile aluminum thing.

RC8 has locking (nyloc) 17mm wheel nuts.. and i dont think drilling a hole would be best as i would need to drill through the axle and find a way to insert and remove pins

If you use plenty of blue threadlock, tighten the nut firmly, and let it dry overnight, it really shouldn't come off. Maybe if you are doing lots of donuts and the wheel is unloading alot, but they should stay on. Make sure to put threadlock on every time you take the nut off.

I think you just need to hit the gym. You obviously just don't have enough muscle to turn the wrench tight enough to keep the nut on there.

integy pro nuts have a rubber o-ring inside that helps to keep the nut tight. never had any issues with it. now with all my truck using 17mm nuts i just use purple (weak) threadlock

That's cool. Yeah the pin thing was kinda a joke. It popped into my head when I read what was wrong.

maybe try plumbers tape aswell as threadlock? It might tighten up the thread a little and hopefully hold it there =)

A word of caution: Don't put too much blue threadlock on. I spent about 20 minutes removing the dried crap from my threads! It sure held that nut on there, though.

Saftery wire them to the wheel after you install them. I also saw a very stupid tip in an r/c mag that said to jam fuel tubing around the nut and the recess on the wheel.

Get another set of 23mm nuts and tighten one nut on the wheel, put the other nut on behind it and tighten it down, use threadlock on both. The nuts will tighten against each other. I do this all the time in other applications.
