strange neu deal - 08.08.2008, 12:06 AM

well I called neu about there "special deals" when I saw they updated there photos on the site and asked if they hads any 1515's or 1512's and the girl told me that all the motors on the webpage had been taken but asked if i would hold and she would go look in the box to see if anything was added...she comes back and tells me theres a 1512/2.5d s........so I tell her I would take it...so it came today and when I took it out of the mail box it felt heavy to me...heavier than i expected a 1512 to feel like...anyway I brought it in to my office desk and was handling the motor thinking man this sucker seems well built and BIG...glancing at the white sticker that comes on the motors I thought all day today that it said 1512/2.5d/s and i left it lay on my desk and went on about my business for the rest of the day.......which brings me to now sitting here handling the motor again I look at that white tag and realize it says 1515/2.5d/s....could this be a 1512 marked 1515 or is it really a 1515...this is my first neu so i'm including a picture....it measures almost 2 3/4" and is bery heavy

if it is a 1515 did I get a better motor for my converted revo than I expected or should i sell this ......can i get 45mph out of this motor on 4's and still run cool? and what can I get out of it on 6's?

The heat marks are probably from heating it up to get a pinion off or something.

Holy $%&!! $100 for a Neu 1515/2.5d? Thats a hell of a deal. Just don't expect to find any more brand new Neu's for that price.

I think that motor will do fine at 45 mph. The batts may heat up from the extra current draw at the lower voltage. On 6s you could do 60 mph if you wanted to. Or keep it at 45 mph and have everything stay cool.

I hate you.
I got my finned 1515 2.5d when they were $275, plus shipping to Australia.
Don't know about 45mph on 4s, maybe high 30's-40 with ok temps, but on 5s and 6s 45mph with low temps hasn't been an issue in my e-maxx and truggy.

I know i'm gonna cop it for this, but...
Am i the only honest one here thinking this motor should be sent back and replaced for what was originally ordered and paid for???

Before you answer that - just imagine you owned a company, and your workers screwed up an order the same way... wouldn't you want your customer to be honest and send it back??
Even better - i know how ppl tend to worship Mike round here - so what if it was him that made the same mistake?? would you have sent it back or said nothing??

This is clearly the same thing as stealing... no wonder the world is turning to shit, with all the decency shrivelling away from society...

Does anyone agree with me here?? Or has this even crossed anyones mind??
