Exclamation muggy update new.... - 09.09.2008, 07:10 PM

Well i just got to run my muggy with the proline dish rims and badland tires. Wow is all i can say. What a difference. The motor hardly got warm and the MMM worked flawlessly.

Now for the part that makes me want to kill someone

I had a nice slow run and all of a suddon the muggy lost power.(7- 10 min into the run) I thought the lipo was just dead. WELL IT IS!!!

The f'n maxamp battery puffed. I have lost over $400 work of maxamps lipos in 2 weeks.(4 total) I just sent them a f'n email. I am so pissed off right now. That was only the 3rd or 4th run on this lipo. I have lost all faith in them.

I dont want a bash fest on them, i am just venting before i kill someone.

errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

Try true rc, use the 8000 packs.

Enerland are the best, and not much more expensive than the maxamps...

We all know how I feel about maxamps.

i think zippys and truercs are compariable in price and performance but you can get a higher c rating with the zippys so i would prefer zippys

of you can pick up some elite lipos at www.cheapbatterypacks.com they only offer up to 4800mah (only a slight difference in runtime with a 5000mah pack) but they are pretty cheap and at 25c i believe they are a steal....i've got two of teh 5s 4800 lipo in my muggy and they work far better than any maxamps pack i got.....and i 5th linc's quote as well.....

Have we figured out yet if the Zippy ratings are accurate? I sure like the price/specs.

Not so much that maxamps cells are crap, they seem to work fine if you consider them 12-15c cells. I only have issues with the company due to false advertising and the "holier than thou" attitude of some of their employees. And their prices are way too high...

Well i just got off the phone with Maxamps and let me tell you that their customer service is awsome. 90% of my packs are maxamps and i have never had a problem til now.

This is what i came up with.
My reciver pack was my fault. (due to no lipo cutoff)
my 18t pack has a ton (i mean a ton) of cycles

My Mlst 2 pack was a bad cell. (they are replacing)
My muggy pack was also a bad pack.(they are replacing)

All in all i was so pissed off yesterday i wanted to blame everyone but me.(just ask my wife how much of an azz i was)

So my faith have been restored once again.

Michael
