Help me pick the best Medusa Option for my CRT .5 - 02.24.2009, 03:16 PM

So I have a CRT .5 and after busting the shaft on my MM5700 EVERYONE suggested a bigger motor. So here I am ready to pull the trigger. At the moment the only lipos I have are a maxamps 6000 3s and one 2s same cap.
I will buy one more lipo maybe a 4s zippy if needed but would be nice to be able to utilize at least the 3s in the meantime of me making some more casholla.

Just tell me what size to get so I dont mistakenly make the wrong expensive mistake.

Thanks guys...Ive been crawling quite a bit lately and have a go fast itch. Plus everyone in the crawling crew has slashes that flip over on every pass almost. It would be nice to whoop up on them with my brushless CRT .5 since they no nothing about them.

I'd go with a 50mm. If your going 4s then the 2200kv would be good. The 3300 they offer is great on 3s so you may just want to get another 3s pack and go with that.

3300 will run fine on 2s, great on 3s and ballastic on 4s...

The Medusa 36-50-3300 on 3s is perfect for speeds around 35mph. Stays cool and has plenty of torque.

Thanks guys. I will get the 3300 as I have the 3s. I was wondering would this be able to handle a 4s if I got one later??

I have a 50mm 2200 on 4S 2100 packs, but if you've got 3s packs, get the 3300. I had a 3100 kv motor earlier I ran on 4S sometimes. IT was ballistic but doable. The medusa should do great on 4S for spd runs. Just be careful with it until you are sure of your setup and gearing.
