Kyosho ST-RR Differentials - Just how tough are they? -

Been having some diffuculties with my Savage XL differentials. With the price of cen diff upgrades going through the roof. I was rumaging through my boxes and came up with some STRR differentials. They might work in the savages. I have only stripped one of my STRR 10t bevel gears since I've owned the truggy. That was my fault aslo. Before I understood the why and how of shimming.
Anyone ever have problems with their STRR diffs? You think the spiral cut would hold up better on the heavy savage?
I still have to stripped any of my ST RR diffs. I had run my truggy in 5 and 6S (mainly 5S).

Well I got fed up with another savage bevel gear stripping today. I put the strr differential gears in it. We'll see how they hold up in the Savage. It's a lot heavier then my strr with the big ass moabs on it too.
Yeah, I replaced both of them but the beveled pinion gear wasn't really long enough. I got new parts in for the HPI so I put stockers back into it before I screwed those up. They might of worked but not the way I was shimming them at the time. Have learned how to shim since then a bit better.
