why only a 90 day warranty? - 03.17.2009, 07:27 PM

so why doesnt tekin offer a 1 year warranty like castle creations?

tekin says their rx8 is as good if not better than the MMM, then why not offer a warranty like the MMM.

i think the biggest thing that is keeping me from throwing down $335 for the new rx8 and another $35 for a hotwire is the 90 day warranty.

also what will the repair cost me on the rx8?

Not too expensive when you consider a Neu costs at least 250 and a mgm costs something like 300. The motor is designed after neu and the esc is as good as an mgm.

The street price won't likely be $370, big greg. The slightly smaller foot print and hybrid sensor/sensorless technology should be worth the extra coin vs. the competition - particularly if you are a serious or even semi serious racer.

We are a bit more than the others but for good reason, we offer more. You've really got to feel the difference on the track. The sensored starts add consistency to a setup not previously reachable. When I pull the trigger I know I will get the same exact same response as the time before.

For serious racing, I will not compromise on feel or performance. Try them back to back and you'll see what I mean.

Anyone around my local area has been give the transmitter of my car just to feel it for themselves....

There are always uncontrollables in this hobby. Some people don't always use a product for its intended purpose. We cannot warranty this controller for instance if it was submerged in water for say boat use. IT can be used in a boat, but it is not the intended purpose for the controller.

We offer superior components like gold plated switches, double crimped servo leads, heavy copper pcb boards, gold pated solder posts, etc.

If there comes a time where you are in need of a non warranty replacement we offer a substantial discount on the replacement.

We offer a limited warranty simply because we can't control our products use. Simply reversing the batter leads can cause an issue.

With us, honesty goes a long ways. I've seen plenty of "woops" covered under warranty.
