Nitro 4tech vs TC3 Buggy - 06.19.2009, 07:32 AM

Traxxas 4TECH 2.5 nitro motor
Tc3 Buggy, Neu 6700 motor, Neu 3s lipo 4100 30c

I will be video taping my buddy and I racing this Sunday. This cat has been talking trash all week on how he's going to smoke me in a drag race. So much that we have 6/7 new viewers coming to the strip just to see who's gonna win! I'll post a link to the video after the race.

Should be a piece of cake for you if you have good grip. Wheelspin is your only worry IMO
Warm those tires up and your buddy is in for a surprise.

Good luck

Remove the front diff and install a spool if you have it.

What's a spool? Is that the same as a 1 way front diff??

A spool is a solid piece and you'll have front braking while a one-way allows the front to spin free when you brake. I have a spool in my TC3 and for drag racing or speed runs, I thinks it's a must. Keep the diff in the rear though.

I second this!!! Spool in the front and diff in the rear will be the only way to keep the car in control.

Oh yeah I have mad grip. I'm running 1/8 scale nitro shoes foam tires. They are great.

PM snellemin about his sticky drag concoction for tires. I believe it is honey and water but do not know what parts each.

TC3 buggy, isn't that 2WD?

Amain has the spool for the nitro http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...pool-Nitro-TC3, don't know if they're compatibale with the electric TC3 (part # ASC1703). You could check Ebay.

No the tc3 is 4wd. My buggy is as well. It just has an extended chasis and B4 arms, shock mounts, shocks etc.
