Revo Truggy - 03.16.2009, 03:53 PM

Here is my revo MT/Truggy. Perfect weight distribution....

Tranny is set backwards for the motor to hang forward to hang the weight towards the front. With twin 3's its perfect 50/50. Truck runs 39mph on 3S and after 30min run, the motor is 110-115 and ESC is 101-105. Awesome setup....weighs 9.5lbs exact without batts.

Looking good! Are you still running 4wd.? If so, can you snap a pic. of how you mounted the trans.... I am in the process of converting my 3.3 Revo and I am looking for new ideas....

Thanks!

How was mounting it...problematic or simple? I like the idea...it is based on the GR3 chassis, but at a fraction of the cost!

Just made a custom mount under to bolt the trans to on one side and bolted the other side to the factory frame. Took it to the track today...wow. Working on the suspension a little more to tweak some bounce out of it. Since it came out ligther then expected, the suspension was setup for heavier setup.

You can see I run bolts through the frame and the bracket and sandwich the trans in. It won't move not one bit. Ran it at the track yesterday for over 2 hours. Absolutely ran away from a E-revo that was with me at the track with the same basic setup. Its just much lighter on its feet and handles alot better. Also because its a lightweight setup I was able to gear it quite aggressively on lower voltage. Motor, controller and batteries have yet to go over 120. That was over an hour of laps...non-stop, just swap batteries and go. Running 10,000 mah so runtimes are LONG.

Probably would, but I like the 3905 trans since it places the motor in the middle
