MM to hot? - 08.03.2009, 06:40 PM

After ten minutes of running my slash with a mm/vxl on 3s, the MM was at 151f geared at 20/86. Is this normal for an MM? Timing set to lowest, start power at low, punch at 40% and brakes to 90%. Any suggestions? BTW Im running on asphalt and its 82f outside.

If you do not have one already, buy an external BEC and disconnect the red wire coming from the ESC that goes to the receiver.

Would it help that much? I am guessing a CC BEC?

Any external bec will work. I got one from hobbycity. Make sure to remove the red wire from the rx plug (don't cut it)on the esc which will disable the bec on the mamba max so it will run cooler.
