hyper 9 pro conversion - 09.02.2009, 08:52 AM

HI
I have a 300$ store credit on an online rc shop because of a canceled order. I want to build a brushless buggy but on this website is the only 1/8 buggy kit in stock is hobao hyper 9 pro buggy. Is there a conversion kit for this buggy. I searched the web for a while but couldn't found anything.
Any help will be appreciated.

There's an official Hobao/Ofna conversion for it (see the buggy section under Hyper 9E here), but I don't know if it's out yet.

This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move.

I saw that but that conversion isn't out yet. Can I use hyper 9e parts (motor mount etc.) for the conversion?

I'm sure Mike (owner of this forum) can make you a mount.

You'd need a new chassis, battery box, motor mount and centre diff and mount. You could get away without the servo tray, as most seem to be modifying it anyway to lower the ESC. Just get a couple of servo mounts and a piece of carbon fibre or aluminium sheet and make an equivalent.

Conversion kit would probably be cheaper though.

You couldn't just get the Hyper 9E motor mount and mount it to the nitro chassis, due to the smaller spur, and that it has been moved around a bit.

Mike might be able to make you a mount as BL_RV0 said.
