KD36-74-15XL 1100kv in a flux ? - 11.29.2009, 02:53 PM

Would this motor be good in the savage flux ? the flux chould still do 35mph with 25/44t on 6s ! And because this motor aren't as strong as the cc-2200motor the driveline chould holdup better right ?

These motors seem to have poor quality control. I had one that got to over 300 deg. F in the first run, but some people have better luck with them. In my opinion, they are not worth the money and time.

why not just take a big 'ol grumpy dump on your savage while you're at it?

those motors suck.

If you want less power switch to 4s, or 3s, or 2s, or gear down. Just make sure with lower voltages that the batteries have a good capacity and c rating, and always check temps when changing your setup.

ok !
I've ordered 4st of tunrigy 2s 5000mah 40c pack's and i'm going to stick with the stock flux motor. How mutch shorter will my runtime be ? I think that 6s gave me about 20-25min so maby 4s will give 15-20mins ? with the same 20/44t gearing.

Your runtime will be based more on the mAh rating than the voltage (4S vs 6S). The 4S vs 6S difference could affect you runtime if you end up driving full throttle more on 4S due to its lower power.

i think that 4s will be enough power wise because on 6s i can't go past 1/2 trottle before my flux ends up on its roof or starts bouncing allower the place

You'll like 4s with the 2200kv motor (which is at the oppsotie end of the quality scale vs the hobbyshitty motors)- gear it for 35-40mph and you'll be fine.
