Sweet...On my mbx5T I run a 1520 on 5s w/the mmm esc and it is sweet. BEFORE you add brushless power, make sure to check diffs for correct shimming. In my haste to get my running, I forgot to check them and blew front and rear. Nitro running is a little more forgiving than BL power.
Have fun!

That's just what I did..did not end so well when I did. Well worth the 1hr of time to tear down and check...besides, the diff fluid will be different for electric . I run 15K front 20k center and 7k rear. I only bash so this works well for me

But it looks good

I race with a prospec mbx5t, it takes a lot of abuse without any wear, I only broke some front lower arm on very bad landings at high speed but every other truggies would have broke too... You will be happy with it !
+1 on the diffs shimming, use washers to ajust correctly the mesh between spur and bevel gear. I ran 150 batteries and my diffs are unused.
Mugen drivetrains are the most invulnerable drivetrains, exactly what we need for brushless power :D
My setup for racing : 30K, 15K, 10K.

Thanks man! To be honest Ive never been on a track before :(
Out of my group of friends, it seems that I am the last one to own an rc.. Driveing by yourself is ok now and then, but not all the time.. So I may get into it a little bit. I thought the 5 was a total badass, but it appears there are some newer flashier models, so Im not sure how competitive I would be, but it doesnt hurt to try! I have some VTR's that I can use for now.. We will see how it goes next year tho :) I wanted to try raceing my revo at one point, but never got around to it.. This thing totally outclasses it in every single way!

oh well your one of the lucky ones
all my friends do is sit on their bums all day and play "call of duty" me no call of duty, i like spend me money on my favorite toys, but when winter comes ill play cod. to be honest i think your truggy and your E-revo could out run some people on the track you just got to try and see if your competitive. wish you the best of luck!
and No problem

Hehehe maybe :)
Dont get me wrong, I love cod too, but this is summer, we have long winters, so I like to get my rc time in when I can heheh. In the winter Ill get back to pwning noobs and masters alike :)
Thanks for the faith in my toys :) I think I would do ok, I would have to get used to being on a track. As for driving, I think Im pretty decent, and I could probably be competitive. I just give myself a hard time because I havent been on a track. My Revo is set up so sweet right now, I still <3 her :)

Eliminator-RC is having a race this weekend, come out to race. It is not overly competitive and it is always tons of fun. And they also have great random prizes
