Will my sound get turned off? - 06.12.2011, 08:03 AM

.....on my youtube vid? Yes, any excuse to show you guy's another This is the first movie I made using a downloaded mp3 (all other music I have used has been from cd) and this is the first time I had a possible copywrite infringement notification upon uploading. The sound works for now but youtube automatically identified and labelled the song and artist.

Does anyone know if this is an infringement or just a warning?

The vid....

Nice vid... I think infringement would depend on the views of the record label who owns the song. It certainly isn't up to Youtube.

youtube has changed for the better a little. They used to identify a song and shut off your sound totally (as you are worried). But now they identify the song, and add and for sale links in your description for you. (if the recordlabel/distributor/whoeverownsthecopyright has agreed to it). However....the copyright holder can tell youtube which countries to allow to see the video. So some people from some countries may not be able to see the video at all.
