Alternative to Feigao/Nemesis/Wanderer 8 XL - 09.16.2006, 11:12 AM

Hi

I've been reading through the forums on what brushless setup to use for my e-maxx. Several people seem to recommend the 8XL, but I see it's currently out of stock.

Can anyone advise on a suitable alternative.

Will be running 14 cell 3600's. Looking for something which will be reliable.

Any advice welcome.

Thanks

Bob

first off, welcome aboard!!

they are in-stock, just not the wanderers

http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail...540C_XL&cat=20

these motors have a built-in heat sink and screw on end ball.

the only down side is that they have "only" 50,000 rpm bearings. since you will be using 14 cells you don't have to worry about that. the bearings can also be upgraded later in life.

i run a 540c 9xl in my E and i love it.

"Only" bearings rated for 50K...Thats more than almost any motor should spin...Try to keep your motor around 35 to 40K RPM's.

I'm running a Fiego 10L on the same batt's and so far its been great. No cogging or glitching. Temps are good. More power right now than my driving ability can handle.

Losi 8T 1.0, Savage Flux - XL style, LST XXL, Muggy, 3.3 E-Revo Conversion and sitting outside 425hp, 831 Tq Dodge Ram Turbo Diesel. It SMOKES
