9920 cutting out - 11.24.2006, 11:52 PM

I moved the 9920 to my sons Emaxx running 3S Lipo and a Mamba Max 5700 motor. It's cutting out like crazy at full throttle. It never did this running my LST2 on 5S.

What the heck?

Probably you're having the same problem as me with the 149.18 controller with 3s. The MambaMax motor in a Maxx?!!!! Tooooo small!
You should atleast get a Wanderer L size motor with 4s lipos if you want to eliminate the abnormal stuttering.
Also, if you're not using an external BEC, because I have a feeling that your controller's BEC is not working right, it might be the reason why its stuttering like that.

The name is Alawi. You can call me Al.
Nice to meet you!

This is the same motor and battery for the last month. The only thing that changed is the ESC. I'm digging the MM ESC more and more.

10/77 I think. It was the lowest I could put in it.

I guess I will swap them back tonight. I've finally got the E-maxx back together.

The 5700 motor and the 3s lipo are not really powerful enough to pull the Emaxx properly

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

It would cut out on the workbench as soon as I pulled the trigger. It was not overheating, I never got to run it.

I swapped them back already.

The 5700 is plenty strong for the Emaxx, I've had to upgrade the entire drivetrain.
