OK I have been reading your guys's threads for some time now and i was hearing about a lot of buggy/truggy conversions. Tonight i finally decided to go buggy or truggy(i caught the b/truggy bug):004: . I need your recommendations on what to get. So i know you guys are all about Brushless but i was think about going nitro on this one (because i like the smell sound of nitro, But MABY i will convert to Brushless later but for now i am shooting for nitro). My specifications for this one is pretty much it has to be 4WD, no a monster truck, street car, and or something only able to race on the street. So pretty much everything else like buggy, truggy, and stadium. I want to keep it under $500 an rtr under 500 would be great but if it is a REALLY good kit i can do just the kit for under 500. I want something durable, fast, easy to drive and tune, cool, and handles good. You opinions will be greatly appreciated. (If you could be in detail why you recommend that one and what good about it) Thanks

Id reccomend a LSP Pro from Hot Bodies. This is a great truggy. The jammin is also very nice, but i just like the looks more of the LSP so that is what i went with for my conversion. Does this mean that you are not doing a Bl emaxx?

yeah man i am still doing the e-maxx brushless its to cool not to do but my next project is a buggy/truggy/stadium 4WD. (The Maxx is still going to be cooler in my opinion becasue i have had a long history with y maxx that i need to fix, BUT then again i have never had buggy/truggy/stadium 4WD)

I love the HPI Hellfire SS, maybe you too :)
But the SS one is not RTR, it's just the "upgraded" rolling chassis.

I haven't seen many or any of the koyosho str truggy. I have good things about them.

Guys i was going with Buggy/truggy but my friend want me to be able to race with him and my dad in the 2wd or 4wd nitro stadium class. I will do a bl truggy/buggy later on but i am concerend on what kind of car to get now to beat them (they are driveing jato 3.3 and GT2 on street course) What type of stadium truck can i race with them to have a chance. I was thinkin losi xxxnt of what about the hb stadium 1/10 is that considered a stadium any opinions
(but obviously maxx project first) this isa mid summer project thanks :027: :027:

I would get the Jato if it's street racing. But it's 2wd. Otherwise, if your looking for a nice truggy, get the kyosho m777 STR, they are about the best. Very durable, handle well, and look cool :) Otherwise a jammin x1 crt is also a good choice.

For a ST the jato is good, you just have to control your driving and balance everything out so it is perfect for what your running.

if it's nitro jato, it should be pretty well balanced already. A tad heavy in the rear, but not too bad actually.

I was refering to a electric, yea a nitro is well balanced.

I guess this would be my reference. For a conversion, yes, balance it well.

To be honest, the 777 STR isn't the best truggy...The Mugen MBX5-T Pro-Spec is by far.

At this level they are all more truck than most of us can exploit the potential of. Therefore parts availability in your area becomes key. Even when I lived in Irvine, Ca (home of Mugen, as well as most other RC companies) I never saw Mugen parts.

The 777 is a little lighter, the Crt is national champ and available in a very nice RTR package, and some of the up and coming brands (Cen for example) offer a very good value. The choice is yours.

I have decided to wait untill summer when i will buy it to decide because between now and then there will be like 2 new cars to chose from. But if i were to decide now what to get to be able to race street in the nitro stadium class with my dad and friends it would be the jato.
