Motor Mounts? - 02.23.2007, 02:13 AM

Hey guys. I'll be starting my brushless CRT project this next week and will need a motor mount. Granted, my motor isn't in stock right now, but . . . I'm looking for a motor mount so I don't have to make one. I have no access to milling equipment like some of you. :002:

Anyway, I will be using a Lehner 1950 and will mount the motor to the side - not the top. Do any of you have a motor mount for this application, or the ability to re-produce one so I can buy it from you? :027:

Just have Mike design you one. Perhaps he has one already designed. Another option is to use the BK motor clamps for boats...

I guess that's not a bad idea my friend. I'll send him an e-mail. Thanks.

agree with squee. Mike may have plans, and if not soon, I'd go with twin boat clamps also.

Defiantely email Mike. I sent my buggy to him less than a week ago, and he designed and made a motor mount which should be done this weekend. So I'll recieve it later this week. Mike does awesome quality work, and you definately will not be dissappointed.

Sower,
I sent mike the file for a simpler version of my CRT heat sink motor mount. This way the design is done if you want something like that. Not sure if you have hole location limitations or not.

Nice. I'll check that out. I don't think I'll have any hole limitations. I'll know soon though. I'm at work right now, and my wife just called and said my package came in today. It's my CRT rolling chassis. Looks like it's getting for real now!! :027:

I'm also thinking about going back to the Neu 1515 with the latest info from CC on the Mamba Max. Supposedly they will have a software fix very soon for the Neu motors.
