Planning A 1/10th Conversion - 11.08.2007, 07:12 AM

I am planning to convert an rs4mt into a bl machine..should i just get a trx system or mamba 5700 on 3s 8000 or is there something better I should go for?

i will run 3s max on this setup and already have the batt so i just need the kit and system..what y'all think..also only really lookin for 40 or so mph outta it I care more about rt than power

if i was using the trx system, id stick with the trx's motor. i don't see any benifit using the mamba motor. i think a better setup would be to use the mamba max esc and a feigao motor to keep cost down, or a better motor if money allows.

Use the MM esc and a 3000kv feigao L can motor, like a 9L or 8L. They both work well on 3s and will stay cooler than the mamba motor or the vxl motor due to their longer length. Mike here at RCm may be able to get them for you, or try steven at off shore electrics, he keeps most of the feigaos in stock and has great service. Plus this sytem will be cheaper than a combo - mm esc 135 + feigao L can motor 50 = 185. Plus you can usually find the esc cheaper than 135 if you look around.

wasn't planning on mixing motor and esc...was planning on using either the mm/5700 or trx system

thanks for all your input i might opt for the feigao setup cause the cooler the motor the better performance
